Sika proudly introduces two new high performance waterproofing membranes to their comprehensive range of waterproofing materials for the construction industry.
Sika BituSeal T-130 (and T-140) SG (SA) is a torch-on, sheet waterproofing membrane flexible to 0°C. Based on APP (atactic poly-propylene) modified bitumen, reinforced with polyester non woven fabric, it has a sand broadcast surface and the reverse is faced with polyethylene film to ease installation works.
Sika BituSeal T-130 SG (SA) is a membrane 3mm thick and Sika BituSeal T-140 SG (SA) is 4mm thick. Their uses, characteristics and product data are identical. The 1mm difference gives a choice of thickness dependant on spec requirements. The 4mm membrane offers an all round higher degree of performance than the 3mm membrane.

Uses of Sika BituSeal T-130 and Sika BituSeal T-140:
-Waterproofing and damp-proofing of the exterior walls of basements against percolating water and damp soil
-Waterproofing of retaining walls
-Waterproofing on flat roofs under protective layers or ballast
-Waterproofing on flat and exposed roofs and under tiles
-Waterproofing on balconies/terraces under tiles

Characteristics and Advantages of using Sika BituSeal T-130 and Sika BituSeal T-140:
-Resistant to ageing and weathering
-Good tensile strength and elongation
-High resistance to water vapour (non-vapour permeable)
-Good dimensional stability
-Flexible at low temperatures
-Easy to install with the torch-on method
-Not resistant to root penetration
-Suitable as top layer for multi layer installations
-Good resistance to mechanical impact
-Must be installed on suitable primed, uniform and smooth substrates such as concrete and brickwork
