Build It’s 2011 conference was held at Champagne Sports Resort from 6th to 9th February.

Delegates attend on an exclusive invitation-only basis and Sika, international manufacturer and supplier of top quality building products, was there in force. Sika S.A.’s MD, Paul Adams, Distribution Business Unit Manager, Desiree Smith, KZN Regional Manager, Mervyn Naidoo, and Marketing Coordinator, Nadine Thurtell showed solid support of the Sika distributor and joined in all of the events.

A cocktail party on the evening of 6th February welcomed everyone to the official opening of the Conference, which promised to be a jam-packed, three-day intensive forum where industry matters are discussed at length. Work programmes were held on both mornings and included the unveiling of Build It’s 2011 “Shine On” theme and marketing strategies for the year ahead. Sika’s delegates made the most of this exclusive opportunity to network with Build It delegates, including the sales managers and store representatives.

Certainly all this food for thought and exertion of concentration deserved a good dose of down time, which came in the form of the many sporting options available at Champagne Sports, and fun-filled evening events. A fancy dress entitled "Disco cheer and Psychedelic gear" was held on the 7th February, for which many participants pulled out all the stops, donning their gawdy ‘70s outfits and strutting their disco moves, in a venue room that was decorated in classic disco fever style – mirror balls included. The Gala Banquet on 8th February utilised Build It’s “Shine On” theme to its full extent – showcasing their banners and posters on every conceivable surface. Build It, once again, went all out to ensure that their 2011 Conference was one to remember.
