Sika® FerroGard®-300 DuoCrete

1 Part ready-to-use Activating and Installation Mortar for Sika® FerroGard® Anodes

Sika® FerroGard®-300 DuoCrete mortar is used for the installation of the Sika® FerroGard® Anode range. The mortar is supplied ready to use from the sealant cartridge and applied into pre-drilled holes in the concrete before the anode is inserted. For Sika® FerroGard® hybride anodes, Sika® FerroGard®-300 DuoCrete mortar facilitates activation of the anodes in both applied current and galvanic current modes of operation. The cure time and physical properties have been designed to simplify installation and optimise performance.

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Do not expose to freezing conditions. Always refer to packaging.

APPLICATION

Reference must be made to further documentation where applicable, such as relevant method statement, application manual and installation or working instructions.

The dimensions of the drill holes for the Sika® FerroGard® anodes depend on type of anode and its size. Please refer to the relevant PDS of the anode for details.

 

Prepare the end of the cartridge, insert into a standard sealant gun and fit the nozzle. Extrude Sika® FerroGard®-300 DuoCrete into the pre-drilled holes ensuring that it comes into full contact with the sides of the hole and avoiding any air entrapment. Immediately insert a Sika® FerroGard® anode into the mortar ensuring the mortar encapsulates the complete anode.

Once the embedding mortar has hardened sufficiently to prevent any anode movement. Proceed with connecting feeder wire and eventually a temporary power supply.
