Sika South Africa’s ongoing high level of standards pertaining to product quality has for many years included the endorsement of the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). With unwavering dedication to maintaining these high standards, Sika South Africa took the decision to cancel their contract with SABS after the latter was recently put under the spotlight due to possible irregularities in its administration and complaints about service delivery.

To uphold the integrity and uncompromising standards that Sika itself and its customers are well acquainted with, Sika South Africa has now joined the Sika AG multi-site certification which is certified by SGS - Société Générale de Surveillance, a leading global inspection, verification, testing and certification body with over 2 400 offices and laboratories around the world.

With its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, SGS’s core services include inspection and verification of the quantity, weight and quality of traded goods, as well as performance testing according to a prescribed level of minimum standards required to meet customers’ needs. As a result of this new accreditation partnership, Sika customers all over the world are assured of the company’s commitment to providing the same high quality standards that they have come to know and expect.

Sika South Africa aims to continuously achieve the highest standards in all three ISO certifications, Quality Management System (ISO9001), Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001) and Occupational Health and Safety Certification (ISO45001).
