Sika® DuoCrete PG

Activating Mortar for Hybrid Galvanic System

Sika® DuoCrete PG mortar is used in the installation of the Sika® Ferrogard Patch anodes into corrosion damaged reinforced concrete. The Sika® DuoCrete PG mortar is pre-mixed and packaged in a sealant tube and applied into pre-drilled holes in the concrete. The Sika® FerroShield Patch anodes are subsequently placed into the hole, generating an embedded unit.
The Sika® DuoCrete PG mortar facilitates installation of the galvanic Sika® Ferrogard Patch anode units. The cure time and physical properties have been designed to simplify installation and optimize performance.

Application steps

APPLICATION

Application shall be in accordance with the Sika® Ferrogard® Patch Method Statement  and is summarised as follow:
Sika® Ferrogard® Patch anodes are typically installed at a spacing of 350-500 mm.
Sika® Ferrogard® Patch anodes are installed into pre-drilled holes of 25mm diameter x 45, 85 or 120mm for Sika® FerroGard®-510 Patch, Sika® FerroGard®-515 Patch and Sika® FerroGard®-520 Patch mm respectively (with the depth being dependent on the size of anode used). The Sika® DuoCrete PG mortar is ready to use and gunned into the holes with a standard cartridge gun and must encapsulate the anode to ensure a large active surface area.
