SikaCeram® Improver

Synthetic rubber latex for cemetitious adhesives and grouts

SikaCeram® Improver is a water based emulsion of synthetic resins and specific additives. SikaCeram® Improver is used as a partial replacement to the mixing water to improve the adhesion and elastic performance of non-polymer based cementitious adhesives and tiling grouts.

Usage

SikaCeram® Improver blended with SikaCeram-50 Ceramic can be applied to lay gre’s porcelain or any kind of ceramic tiles in the following applications:
  • Medium and large sized tiles
  • Absorbent ceramic tiles
  • Non-absorbent Porcelain tiles

4 - 5 ltr of SikaCeram® Improver per 20kg of Adhesive
Application steps

MIXING

Pour the recommended SikaCeram® Improver in a suitable, clean mixing container, as a replacement for water. While stirring slowly, add the powder to the SikaCeram® Improver and mix thoroughly using a low speed (~500 rpm) electric mixer until a homogeneous and lump free mix is achieved.
After blending, leave the product maturing and then briefly stir it prior to application. The obtained mix has a very creamy consistency and is easily spreadable.
